Mondadh No More / Grace (In Times of Darkness)

Shane Gallagher This is the magnum opus of Rodney Shades. I enjoyed the previous 5000 release, but nothing prepared my lugs for this.
Imagine if the KLF had successfully completed their collaboration with Extreme Noise Terror and then saturated the master tape with healthy doses of the atmosphere of Amebix, the tribal feel of Scatha and Sepultura and the pounding monolithic drums of Spiral Tribe. That might be a little like what this is. Looking back at that, I've decided it doesn't come close to what this is. Simply put, there's little else like this out there. You owe it to yourself to check this out if you're in anyway interested in punk daring to branch beyond 3 chords and a d-beat lyric generator. Favorite track: Grace (In Times of Darkness).

about

This second release from Five Thousand sees them teaming up with US artist Blue Minute and Glasgow's Chrissy Barnacle to create a harddance sound the likes of which have not been heard since Bill & Jimmy pulled the ENT boys into the studio back in '92.
